We also use Sitelink for our properties. The Pro’s are that they have great support that is quick to answer the phone and fix issues. The software version we use is the Web version, which is great for tracking and reporting. It is not cheap though. We also use their SiteLink Merchant Services and that has been great, very easy to use and a positive experience. Debit still has to be done offline though. The rates were matched to Costco’s Elavon offer without issue.

I am in the same boat. So what we did for our secure overlock is went with a master lock pro series with the guards so they can’t be cut. They are just as secure as the disc lock, but any locksmith can rekey the locks to be on the same key. I bought 30 for about $20/each then paid $1/lock to rekey to a master.

Great thing is, if I ever lose a key, or a bad employee made copies, I can easily rekey all the locks on this series for a couple bucks instead of buying new locks or worrying about the missing keys being out there. Disc locks can’t be rekeyed and are expensive to have a bunch master keyed from the manufacturer.

We flew a SiteLink manager up to our location for training and he said that once a year is most common and fair. Our location has never done one in its history, so soon I am doing one for 5% for people over a year in parking spots only. I am hesitant to do it to storage bay customers so I just have the automatic push rate for new tenants and that is working great to increase while keeping the long term people happy. However, a 5% increase is not a lot to one person so I doubt I would get any issue doing it.
