It has been well established that some customers will pay more to obtain a more convenient unit.  It is less well understood whether customers will pay a premium for more convenient units over time and through multiple rent increases.  We have analyzed the behaviour of many customers and self storage operators to better understand this dynamic.  We will discuss thae results of our analysis along with highlighting the potential implications for how self storage operators might revise the way they carry out their rent increase procedures.
