As you are all aware since the current Federal Government has been in position, there has really been no new movement towards achieving our goal of exemption to the 5 employee rule under the Active/Passive Tax Rules for small independent Canadian businesses. However with that said, please be very aware that your Association is still working closely with various politicians, the CFIB and the Canadian Campgrounds Association and this is still a very hot issue that we will never let go away. Our hope once again is to get our request into the 2018 Federal Budget which will be made public in April of 2018. Please visit www.cssa.ca again for more updates as they come in.
