Dumpster Costs

Would just like to give all you facilities who have garbage dumpsters a heads up on costs.  We have rented a dumpster monthly from BFI Canada for 11 years now.  Their rates have increassed every year practically. This year the rate incresed in January by $78.00.  That made my total monthly bill $373.64.  I found this to be just too high so started shopping around a bit and found out that Super Save and Waste Management would cost me $125.00 per month for the exact same service as BFI.  Requested a quote from BFI and was quoted a rete of $152.50.  So spoke to BFI representative who was very aggressive and not the least bit apologetic for the over charging.  I have now dropped them and will go with one of the other companies wh0 will also give me a contract guaranteeing no rate increase for two years.   Just a warning to all facilities who have dealt with the same companies for services for many years, check out their rates.  Our experience with BFI has us now checking out all the other services we use to make sure they are not overcharging us.  It like the cell phone companies who give NEW customers deals but forget their long term loyal customers.  In my facility I reward  my long tetm customers with extra discount rates periodically.  That is the way to keep customers!
